2003

Texas Star Racing is formed as a legal entity through an idea that Joe Stinson & Chris Ragle had after attending a race at Houston Motorsports Park in September, 2003.  Chris found a TSRS car for sale in the North Texas area.  Joe and Chris went to observe the car race the next weekend at Thunder Hill Raceway in Kyle, Texas.

Following a great finish by Don Fowler and his team, Joe and Chris agreed to purchase the car and allow Don to continue driving the car for Texas Star Racing for the remainder of the 2003 season.

The asphalt late model car purchase and agreement for Don to drive the car at the Space City 125 is completed.  Don notches a 4th place finish in our first race as a team at Houston Motorsports Park.  It was a very fun and exciting weekend.

Special thanks to Don Fowler, Big John, John Nick, Nolan Kerry and Wes Tucker for their involvement as our team transitioned car ownership from Don Fowler to Texas Star Racing.

Joe continued to race the street stock for the remainder with Chris Carter behind the wheel.  Chris finished the season 9th in points.
